I got my first reported sale from Amazon UK today. Is it too early to call Tales from the Green an international sensation that is sweeping the globe?

Best Week Ever
So much to report this week. Remember last post when I waxed philisophical about treasuring the little victories? No, you skipped that one? Oh well, it was basically rambling anyway, much like the last few sentences you just read. Anyway, those little moments to savor rolled in at the end of July.
First of all, a review from a random reader:
You can't ask for more. Having sweated the lack of reviews since I started in March this was such a relief. In addition to this review there was another, slightly less favorable yet still positive one, so I'm finally getting substantial feedback that tells me that, while I still have a long way to go, I didn't make a mistake in starting the journey.
Also, covers!

These two masterpieces are courtesy of Ronnell Porter, fellow indie author, artist, and all around nice guy. He approached me unsolicited via Kindleboards with an offer for free cover art, which I gladly accepted. This is a prime example of the type of support and generosity the indie author community provides, and will be a huge help in getting people to take a peek inside at my samples. This comes just in time for my plan to expand my market to Barnes and Noble once PubIt becomes available to the general public. More on that later.

Tales from the Green is positioned as a young adult book but is truly a good choice for anyone who enjoys this type of fantasy. Set squarely in the dwarves/elves/trolls/dragons part of the fantasy world it pays homage to the masterpieces of the genre in some playful ways but has a voice totally its own. From sprites who can't stop chattering to gnomes who exhibit all the worst bureaucratic tendencies of humans the little twists and turns Best has given to the subject make the book (and its sequel) well worth a read.
